>京大や東北大、北大に進んだ子に聞くと大学自体にとても魅力を感じたということでした。

よく考えると、同じことが別の多くの大学にも言えるんじゃないでしょうかね。
たとえば東京からわざわざ立命館大に行く方が結構いますが（大学HPにのってます）これなども「大学自体にとても魅力を感じた」ということでしょう。

地方国立だのMarchだの関関同立だの、すべてマスコミが勝手に括っているだけで、それぞれが独立した個性のある大学であって、それぞれに魅力があります。もちろん有名大だけでなく、それ以外の大学も同じです。Fランなどという呼称も失礼千万なはなしです。

魅力なんてそもそも相対的なものです。
有名難関大だけに大学の魅力があるというものではないですからね。
