単にソルジャー要員として人数の多い私大が集めやすいだけ。

自分の時は大学の定員が少なく、みんなが黙ってどこかに入学しても、毎年自動的に数万人の浪人生が生まれるという時代だった。
もちろん自主的に浪人して難関大学を何回も受験している層もいたから、もっとたくさんの浪人がいた。
今とは隔世の感。エスカレーター組以外は基本的には受験だった（AOはまだなかった）。
都内の大学で偏差値50未満がなかったんだっけな。

定員割れした大学に入学した1年生が合計何人いるのか。
来年度の受験生は今年よりどれくらい減るのか。
特に定員割れした大学に通う学生にアンケートをとってもよいかと思います。
さらに定員割れが今後予想される大学もリストアップ。といいますか民間なので、どこまで天下り先でもある〇〇事業団が面倒みないといけないのかは疑問ですが。

先般の朝日新聞の記事によると、神奈川県在住（出身？）の大学生の9割以上が私学に在籍しているという。たしかに納得できる話だ。換言すれば、それほど地元の「横国」や「横市」の存在感が県内で希薄である証左でもある。たしかに、身近な「慶應」や「青山学院」といった有名私学の方が県内受験生には人気あるように思われる。そのあたりの感覚は、（私学優位な状況にある現在の中高の事情と合わせ）神奈川の特長でもあろう。defaultだともいえようか。

インタエデュの姉妹サイト？のリセマムに出たニュースでは、
　「日本私立学校振興・共済事業団は2023年8月30日、2023年度「私立大学・短期大学等入学志願動向」を公表した。集計した600校のうち、定員割れの大学は前年比37校増の320校。大学全体に占める未充足校の割合は53.3％と、調査開始以降初めて5割を超え、過去最多を更新した。」

ただ、数十人程度なら誤差の範囲内です。定員の数割分足りない状態が続くと、経営を安定化するための基金が急速に減っていくので、危ない状態になります。
